Tukaram Mundhe's 2005-batch IAS colleague Kumar Ravi has launched a crackdown on restaurants in Bihar, with over 531 inspections conducted across 38 districts in last three months. ₹17.32 lakh food products were seized/destroyed, 15 establishments were prosecuted, & licences of two establishments were suspended, India Today reported. Ravi is Bihar's health secretary & commissioner of food safety.
