HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has announced stricter measures to prevent drinking water wastage during transportation by tankers. From November 1, 2026, tanker owners will face a fine of ₹ 5,000 for violating water transportation rules. A second violation will lead to cancellation of the tanker's registration.
