Vinayak Damodar Savarkar had condemned Mahatma Gandhi's assassination, his grandnephew Satyaki Savarkar told a Pune court in the criminal defamation case against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He objected to questions about the assassination and its links to RSS. Satyaki had filed a case against Rahul for allegedly making fake communal claims against Savarkar by quoting a book Savarkar never wrote.
