Children at a government primary school in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal district are studying on mats without desks or chairs. Students spoke about the lack of basic classroom furniture at Makhdumpur village school. District Magistrate Ankit Khandelwal said furniture had reached around half of the district's 1,200-plus schools, with the remaining schools expected to receive it within two months.
