A protest by the students at Kolkata’s Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI) seeking Vice-Chancellor Santosh Ajmera’s resignation over incidents of campus violence has reached its 27th day. The administration has suspended classes and shut the hostels and the hostel mess. Students said they are facing an acute drinking water crisis, along with restricted access to basic amenities.
