Classes at Delhi’s Jamia Millia Islamia have shifted online after student protesters demanding the restoration of campus union elections clashed with security guards. The confrontation reportedly broke out when guards moved to remove tents set up by protesting students, including those on a hunger strike. Jamia Registrar Mahtab Alam Rizvi alleged that Congress MPs Imran Pratapgarhi and Imran Masood entered the campus by jumping over a wall a day earlier and disturbed.
