The CBI apprehended an Enforcement Directorate Enforcement Officer and a head constable from Lucknow Zone office on October 23, 2026, in a ₹5 lakh bribery case. The head constable was caught red-handed accepting the bribe to favour a complainant's father facing two ED summonses. Both accused have been apprehended; further investigation is underway.
