Kannada film 'Premada Ooralli', made on a budget of around ₹3 crore, has reportedly earned over ₹107 crore. Cinematographer Rajkanth SK, a former waiter who taught himself filmmaking, helped keep production costs low. The team of over 100 members stayed in banquet halls. After producers rejected the film, director Manoj Kumar promoted it through autorickshaw stickers and personal invitations.
