Voters in five Bay Area counties will decide this fall whether to approve a sales tax that would cause deep service cuts to local transit agencies. The Regional Transit Measure (Measure RTM) will appear on the Nov. 3 ballot and could raise sales taxes by 0.5% in Alameda, Contra Costa, San Mateo, and Santa Clara.
