An Indian-origin couple has been sentenced in the UK for fraudulently securing orders worth millions to supply PPE during COVID-19 and laundering the proceeds. Jogesh and Meenakashi Bhandari used the money to buy luxury cars, high-end watches, jewellery and holidays. Jogesh reportedly secured a deal to supply gloves to US hospitals but failed to deliver the order.
