Govt keen to hear views on removal of LTCG tax: FM Sitharaman. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said government would be keen to hear stakeholders' views on removal of long-term capital gains (LTCG) tax during Budget consultations. She also called debate over securities transaction tax (STT) and treating all asset classes equally healthy. Following her remarks, equity markets continued their recovery, extending gains past 1% mark for both Nifty and Sensex.
