The Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) collected ₹7,20,500 in fines from commercial establishments during a special inspection drive conducted by a team of 100 officials on October 7. The penalties were imposed for violations involving waste segregation, banned plastic, unhygienic conditions and trade licence renewals.
