A study by the University of Limerick found that humans working in a virtual reality office paid male AI agents 10.25% more money than their female counterparts despite identical programming and task aptitude. The study, conducted among 189 people, suggested that gender biases familiar from human workplaces could be reproduced in interactions with AI.
