Kashmiri filmmaker released from ICE detention on bond. Award-winning Kashmiri filmmaker Arfat Sheikh was released from US ICE detention on bond Thursday after two weeks. Detained at Washington Dulles Airport on September 24, his deportation case continues. Sheikh, in the US since 2019 on a student visa, filed for asylum in 2020. His film Saffron Kingdom won multiple international awards.
