US has suspended Indian IT firms Cognizant, TCS, Wipro, Infosys & HCLTech from PERM labour certification programme. The key reason behind the suspensions is US administration's belief that foreign workers hired by them were resulting in fewer jobs for American workers. Labour Secretary Keith Sonderling claimed these companies requested permanent residency for 3 million foreign workers since 2009.
