India to procure 10,000 AI GPUs over 5 years. India announced plans to procure 10,000 AI GPUs over five years to address GPU shortages, said IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. The government also aims to develop domestic GPUs within 3-4 years for tech self-reliance and will release a consultation paper on AI regulation to ensure safe, responsible AI growth.
