Late actor Nana Patekar once revealed that he saved ₹1.5 crore for a car, but decided to donate it all to drought-hit farmers of Maharashtra after watching a TV interview featuring the family of a farmer who died by suicide. He established 'Naam Foundation', and has helped 77 lakh farmers, 51,000 disaster-relief families and nearly 5,000 widows in last decade.
