US adds only 29,000 jobs in Sept, below 90,000 forecast. US non-farm payrolls rose just 29,000 in September, well below the 90,000 forecast, as unemployment climbed to 4.2%. July and August figures were revised down by 60,000 combined. Treasury yields fell and traders scaled back Fed rate hike expectations. Oil prices also eased following the weak jobs data.
