The Maharashtra government has approved the payment of pending dearness allowance (DA) arrears for employees under the 5th, 6th and 7th Pay Commissions. Around Rs 800 crore will be spent for the payout, which will be credited with May salaries. Pensioners and family pension beneficiaries will also receive revised DA benefits with retrospective effect from January 2026.
