The incident took place in Panki Padav area when the roof, made of bamboo, wooden beams and mud, suddenly gave way. The police said preliminary investigations suggest that water leakage may have weakened the roof, with accumulated water adding to the load and eventually causing it to cave in. The deceased included a 60-year-old woman, her 32-year-old son and 28-year-old daughter-in-law. The bodies were sent for post-mortem examination.
