SERAP’s request follows the ministry’s public statement of 30 October 2026 announcing NERSI. The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has urged the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Bernard Doro, “to disclose details of the funding, implementation and administration of the ₦50,000 National Emergency Relief and Stabilisation Intervention (NERSI), including beneficiary selection, payments, contracts with digital financial service providers and safeguards against political interference.”.
