Hundreds of devotees gathered at Bindu Sagar in Bhubaneswar on Sunday morning to perform the traditional rituals of Pinda Daan and Pitru Tarpan on the occasion of Diwali Amavasya. The rituals began around 4 am, with families arriving from different parts of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and other places to pay homage to their departed ancestors.
