A gunman opened fire in Krakow's Main Square, one of Poland's busiest tourist destinations, killing six people and injuring 15 others. The attacker, a 24-year-old Polish citizen armed with a military-type weapon, was wounded in a shootout with police and taken to hospital. Authorities said he acted alone and that the public is safe.
