Bengaluru streetlights will use IoT monitoring to detect faults automatically across 5 lakh LED lights and alert maintenance teams. A penalty of Rs 6,51,700 was imposed on eSmart Energy Solutions Ltd for faulty streetlights in Yelahanka and Byatarayanapura constituency. The move is aimed at streamlining streetlight maintenance services and improving response time across areas under the corporation’s jurisdiction.
