A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Surya Kant has taken serious observations over the deteriorating AQI in Delhi-NCR. The remarks came as the AQI has inched towards the 'severe' category. The top court observed that Diwali celebrations should be accompanied by greater awareness of pollution. The Supreme Court on Friday called for advance announcement of procurement prices for crop stubble (parali) to encourage farmers to sell it, while stressing that gram.
