The court observed that it is highly unlikely for a protester participating in a demonstration organised by the BJP to raise slogans favouring. The petitioner had shouted the slogan in the heat of the moment due to a ‘slip of the tongue’, his lawyer told the court. The court said the petitioner's argument that 'Zindabad' had slipped into the slogan instead of 'Murdhabad' needed to be considered in this context.
