The Bombay high court on Wednesday said construction sites across Mumbai must be routinely monitored to ensure that residents are not inconvenienced by noise pollution. The Bombay High Court directed the BMC to monitor construction sites across Mumbai and enforce noise pollution norms. It called for zonal inspections, designated officers and undertakings. The court has directed the civic body to divide Mumbai into zones for regular construction noise checks.
