Western Railway has deployed 15 body cameras during a special ticket-checking drive running from October 31 to November 14, with recordings intended for court evidence and staff training. The move follows two alleged assaults on women ticket checkers. Daily detection of ticketless passengers has risen from about 300 to around 1,400.
