The 2026 US midterm elections have delivered mixed results for Indian-American candidates. Republican Vivek Ramaswamy has lost the Ohio governor's race, while Democrats Suhas Subramanyam, Pia Dandiya and Pramila Jayapal have secured victories in congressional contests. Independent candidate Sandeep Dixit, however, has failed to win Ohio's 13th congressional district.
