Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour has appointed Peta Ruiter as general manager. She succeeds Reto Borer, who has relocated to Australia. Ruiter has more than 25 years of hospitality experience, including two decades with Hilton across Asia-Pacific. She previously held senior leadership roles at Conrad Seoul, Hilton Tokyo Odaiba and Hilton Pattaya, and was general manager of DoubleTree by Hilton Seoul Pangyo Hotel & Residences, where she oversaw the property’s opening and initial.
