The smugglers reportedly scattered in different directions during the pursuit. However, BSF personnel managed to detain one alleged smuggler, identified as Hefzur Rahman, around 400 metres from the spot. The Chief Minister said the concerned authorities had been directed to ensure that those responsible were brought to justice, adding that security personnel deserved the utmost respect and protection.
