Kerala Samajam celebrated Kerala Day, popularly known as Kerala Piravi, to mark the anniversary of the formation of the state on Nov 1, 1956. On the occasion of Kerala Piravi or Kerala Day on November 1, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan announced that the state has eradicated extreme poverty, making it the first state in the country.
