A Jalandhar man, Akashdeep, alleged that a travel agent lured him to Russia with promises of a lucrative fruit-picking job, air-conditioned accommodation and a work visa, but abandoned him in a remote forest after arrival. He claimed several Indians were stranded in poor conditions and warned against fake job offers allegedly linked to Russian military recruitment.
