The government has approved an extension of the proposed Northern Bullet Train Corridor, bringing faster rail connectivity to more parts of India. The project aims to reduce travel time between Delhi and Guwahati to around eight hours. The expansion is expected to strengthen connectivity, improve passenger travel and support economic activity along the route.
