Civilians from Oleshky, a Ukrainian town under Russian occupation, have shared harrowing accounts of suffering, including hunger and constant drone attacks, after their perilous evacuation. Among those waiting was 19-year-old Liza Paliy, who had not seen her father since January 2024 when she, her mother, and her sister fled occupied territory while he remained behind.
