The Madras High Court has issued notices to the Centre and Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) spokesperson Saurav Das on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking an inquiry into his background and antecedents. The petitioner has requested verification of Saurav Das's nationality and personal background. The plea also seeks cancellation of his passport and Aadhaar if any alleged discrepancies are established during the investigation.
