Police seized firecrackers worth more than Rs 13 lakh in separate raids in Tirtol and Jeypore in Odisha. The seizures were made during searches at a furniture factory in Jagatsinghpur district and a house in Koraput district. In the Tirtol incident, the owner of the premises allegedly fled before police could detain him.
