In a pre-Diwali announcement, Chhattisgarh govt has increased dearness allowance (DA) for state employees and dearness relief (DR) for pensioners by two percentage points, benefiting nearly 5.35 lakh people and imposing an additional annual burden of Rs 432 crore on the state exchequer.
