The BMC has invited tenders for an estimated ₹2,000 crore, 8-km underground water tunnel between Pise and Panjrapur to replace four existing pipelines supplying Mumbai. The project has a 72-month contract period and aims to reduce water losses, prevent contamination and strengthen supply reliability during monsoons and emergencies.
