In September 2011, Ferreira was held again from near Nagpur Central Jail’s gate when he was being released in separate cases. The Bombay High Court ruled that Arun Ferreria's arrest in 2011 violated his rights under Articles 21 and 22 and directed Maharashtra to compensate him.
