The IMD has forecast thunderstorms, lightning, rainfall and gusty winds in several parts of Maharashtra, with unsettled weather expected across Konkan, north Maharashtra, Marathwada, western Maharashtra and Vidarbha. Parts of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) are likely to witness light rainfall and thunderstorms from Thursday as the remnants of Cyclone Arnab influence weather conditions over Maharashtra, even as rising temperatures and deteriorating air quality add to the city's weather concerns.
