The largest single seizure was reported in Nagpur division, where officials confiscated 1,795 kg of sonpapdi worth approximately Rs 10.60 lakh from a food business in Kamthi. The establishment was reportedly operating without the required licence or registration. With Diwali approaching, the Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) seized 6,495 kg of food articles worth Rs 24.92 lakh during a statewide inspection drive on Wednesday.
