Cabinet approved container manufacturing promotion scheme which comes with three major components, including Interest Subvention Assistance (ISA), Operational Expenditure Assistance (OEA), and testing and certification assistance. The initiative was announced in the Union Budget 2026-27. The Container Manufacturing Promotion Scheme has been approved by the Union Cabinet, chaired by PM Narendra Modi, on Wednesday. The new scheme comes with a budgetary outlay of ₹10,000 crore up to FY 2039-40, as per ANI.
