A Flydubai captain who survived a brutal cockpit attack and helped prevent an apparent aviation disaster has been honoured by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The captain appeared at the ceremony with visible head injuries and medical dressings, reminders of the horrific September 30 incident aboard Flydubai Flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv.
