Shillong, Oct 27: The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) today closed the Shillong Peak Ropeway project under construction from. The reason for the council's halt on construction is that the company implementing the project has not obtained a trading licence from the KHADC. Chief Executive Member Winston Tony Lyngdoh said the company has not taken note of the council's requests for a trading licence, which has prompted the KHADC to take.
