Extremely severe Cyclone Arnab has stalled near the Andhra Pradesh coast, prolonging the landfall process. The cyclone approached the coast rapidly but slowed down as it began crossing the land. Although its outer bands have moved inland, the system’s centre is yet to complete its passage over the coast. The cyclone is bringing strong winds and heavy rainfall to Amalapuram and adjoining areas.
