The BMC will intensify construction-site inspections across Mumbai, check AQI monitoring systems and take phased action against developers violating pollution-control rules. Of 2,047 construction sites, around 1,700 have sensors installed. The civic body is also planning awareness drives on air and noise pollution and considering public figures to promote a Green Diwali.
