A man is in hospital and a house has been destroyed after an angry early-morning blaze tore through a property east of Perth. Emergency crews were called to a home on Orton Road in Mundijong about 3.20am where fire was engulfing a house with the 70-year-old inside. Police assistance was requested at about 3.45am as 11 crews of career and volunteer firefighters battled the fire, extinguishing it by 4.10am.
