Kumaraswamy alleged that Shivakumar used recordings from a purported sting operation to pressure former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to step down. The Congress and Shivakumar have rejected. While speaking to reporters on Sunday, Kumaraswamy alleged that the purported deal was part of a wider conspiracy to politically eliminate the Deve Gowda family.
