A Garhwal Motor Owners Union (GMOU) Himgiri bus travelling from Kotdwar towards Pauri-Srinagar veered off the road and rolled backwards towards a gorge on October 21. A large tree stopped the bus from plunging further into the ravine, averting a major tragedy. A video of the incident has now surfaced on social media.
